California K-12 Students: Back to School by the Numbers

As millions of California children head back to school, offers a round-up of recent data on how kids are faring in the state's public schools.

Public school enrollment in California—about 6.2 million students in 2013—has risen about 18% since 1994. Students of all backgrounds have made strides in graduation rates and test achievement:
